Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information

Students cannot be dropped off until 6:45 am. For the safety of the students, they must be dropped off through the car rider line and should not be allowed to exit in the parking lot.

Changes in transportation can be accepted until 1:30 p.m. and must be submitted in writing, either as a handwritten note from the parent/guardian or an email to Ana Hernandez at ahernandez@splendoraisd.org.
For student safety and security, no phone calls can be accepted for transportation changes.
Should a student need to be checked out of school early for a doctor's appointment, etc., the student must be checked out BEFORE 2:40 pm.
Due to safety issues and traffic flow, after 2:40 pm, students MUST be picked up through the car rider line.

Car riders will be picked up and dropped off at the front of the school. Using the map, directions are listed below.

Turn right into the parking lot from Bright Sunshine Road at the school’s main entrance. Proceed in two lanes as directed on the map.
After the double-stack area, merge into a single lane. Follow staff instructions.
After your child is safely dropped off or picked up, continue following the route to exit back onto Bright Sunshine Road.

Cell Phone Disciplinary Procedures

First Offense: Device confiscated; disciplinary referral; parent contact; device returned to student at the end of the day.

Second Offense: Device confiscated; disciplinary referral; detention or Saturday School; parent contact; device returned to a parent/guardian.

Third Offense: Device confiscated; disciplinary referral; one-day in-school suspension; parent contact; device returned to parent/guardian.

Repeated violations will result in progressive disciplinary action for insubordination based on the student code of conduct
If a student refuses to turn in their device when requested, it will be considered insubordination and addressed as a violation of the Student Code of Conduct, which may result in additional disciplinary consequences.
