A Note From the Principal

August 16, 2026

Thank you all for a wonderful first week of school! We enjoyed seeing all of you and your students. We are looking forward to a great week two!

This is a reminder that our doors do not open until 7:15 AM. Students cannot be dropped off from their car until 7:15 AM.

Students were issued ID's last week. Students are required to wear ID's everyday. Please help us ensure your student is wearing their ID everyday. Please review our campus student ID policy.

We will start counting students tardy on Tuesday. This ensures they have had two A days and two B days to learn their schedule. Please review our campus tardy policy.

Students have been doing a fantastic job adjusting to the school. They are learning the building and doing better about getting to class on time each day. Thank you for your partnership and support!

Reminders!

Cell Phone Policy
Beginning on the first day of school, students will not be allowed to use personal communication devices while on campus during the school day. Prohibited devices include:
  • Cell phones
  • Smartwatches
  • Earbuds/headphones
  • Tablets/laptops (unless school-issued and used for instruction)
  • Gaming devices
  • Radios/pagers/other electronic communication devices
The instructional day begins when a student enters the school building and ends at the final dismissal bell. This policy applies in all areas of the campus, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and the cafeteria—during passing periods and lunch.
Students must keep devices out of sight, turned off or in silent mode, and unused at all times during the school day. Devices may be stored in a student’s backpack.
All SJH staff will consistently uphold and enforce this policy. Students who do not comply will receive consequences in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.

Lunches
We do not allow visitors during lunch. You are able to drop off food for your child only. DoorDash or other food delivery service orders will not be permitted.

Water Bottles
Students may bring and use personal water bottles in classrooms and other areas outside of the cafeteria only if the bottle is a clear, plastic container. Glass bottles are not permitted. Bottles must contain WATER only. No other beverages are permitted.

Foundation Corner

Supporting Our Wildcats
Did you know the Splendora ISD Education Foundation invested more than $127,000 directly into our students, staff, and classrooms last year?
From educator grants and classroom resources to student programs and special experiences, the Foundation works throughout the year to provide opportunities that go beyond the regular district budget.
We’re excited for another great year of supporting Splendora ISD—and we can’t wait to show you what your Education Foundation is making possible! If you'd like to learn more about the Education Foundation, please email Katie Key at kkey@splendoraisd.org or check out www.SplendoraISDEducationFoundation.com.
