Complete the 2026-2027 Walker/Bicycle Rider Form
- Eligibility: Only students who reside in Townsend Reserve, The Canopies, and Presswoods (Sections 5-8) may be dismissed as walkers. All other students in these subdivisions will be car riders or receive bus transportation.
- Morning Crossing Guard: Crossing supervision begins 15 minutes before the campus opens its doors to students at 7:15 a.m.
- Weather Safety: Students will not be released to walk or ride a bike home during thunder or lightning. If severe weather occurs at dismissal, students will remain inside until a parent or guardian arrives to pick them up.
- Responsibility Beyond the Crosswalk: Once students have safely crossed the street, they will not be accompanied by a staff member. At that point, Splendora ISD is no longer responsible for the student.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Important School Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
- Morning Drop-off Time: Students can enter the building at 7:15 am. Students should be dropped off in the car-rider lane at the front door. Please do not drop students off in the parking lot. Students should come inside the building and not linger outside or in closed-off areas.
- Transportation Changes: Changes must be submitted in writing by 2:00 pm. You may send a handwritten note with your child or email the front office. For safety and security, we cannot accept transportation changes over the phone.
- Early Check-out: If your child has an appointment, you must check them out before 2:45 pm.
- Late Afternoon Pickup: Due to traffic flow and safety, student check-outs are paused after 2:45 pm. After this time, students must be picked up through the standard car rider line.
Car Rider Information
Car riders will be picked up and dropped off at the front of the school.
- Turn right into the parking lot from Bright Sunshine Road at the school's main entrance. Proceed in two lanes as directed on the map.
- After the double-stack area, merge into a single lane. Follow staff instructions.
- After your child is safely dropped off or picked up, continue following the route to exit back onto Bright Sunshine Road.
Note: When picking up, please watch for your child and ask them to watch for you. We will not call names.
