Cell Phone Policy
Beginning on the first day of school, students are not allowed to use personal communication devices while on campus during the school day. Prohibited devices include:
  • Cell phones
  • Smartwatches
  • Earbuds/headphones
  • Tablets/laptops (unless school-issued and used for instruction)
  • Gaming devices
  • Radios/pagers/other electronic communication devices
The instructional day begins when a student enters the school building and ends at the final dismissal bell. This policy applies in all areas of the campus, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and the cafeteria—during passing periods and lunch.
Students must keep devices out of sightturned off or in silent mode, and unused at all times during the school day. Devices may be stored in a student’s backpack.
All SJH staff will consistently uphold and enforce this policy. Students who do not comply will receive consequences in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.

Lunches
We do not allow visitors during lunch. You are able to drop off food for your child only. DoorDash or other food delivery service orders will not be permitted.

Water Bottles
Students may bring and use personal water bottles in classrooms and other areas outside the cafeteria only if the bottle is a clear plastic container. Glass bottles are not permitted. Bottles must contain WATER only. No other beverages are permitted.

Foundation Corner

Gather Your Team and Get Cooking!
The Splendora ISD Education Foundation’s Men (& Women) Who Cook fundraiser is coming up Saturday, October 24, at The Nathaniel Center—and we are looking for more chef teams!
Parents, staff members, friends, businesses, and community groups are all invited to put together a team and serve a favorite appetizer, entrée, side, drink, or dessert. No professional cooking experience is required. This is simply a fun way to represent your campus or organization, connect with our community, and help create more opportunities for Splendora ISD students and teachers.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available beginning at $200. To learn more about entering a chef team or becoming a sponsor, contact Katie Key at kkey@splendoraisd.org.
